3. How can one tell if a faraday bag is working? 
Our customers expressed growing concern about their data security due to the possibility of being hacked, tracked, or spied on, especially while the rampant data breaches within large corporations. Also, our customers are realizing that more and more of their preparedness equipment rely on some sort of electrical element that not only needs to be protected against the weather but other natural & man-made disasters as well.

We have developed a free app that accurately tests whether your device is receiving any signals. This can help prove our product’s effectiveness as well as any DIY faraday cages customers decide to build using our DIY faraday cage kit materials.

5. Tell us about one event in your life that has played a role in you becoming a prepper.

It wasn’t until I had my first child that I really started taking preparedness a bit more seriously. Along with buying baby food and toys, my wife and I began buying family security items starting with Smart Home products such as cameras and alarm systems. My family preparedness kits including my ‘bug-out-bag’ and first aid kits have also grown substantially which has not only given me more peace of mind but also more confidence that I can protect not only myself but my family as well in any given situation.

6. Do you personally have a preparedness goal you are currently working on?

My current on-going project is adding to our growing stock of emergency supplies especially after being affected by the Thomas Fires, the largest wildfire in modern California history. We were fortunate to have a large enough stock on hand to get us through the grocery store shortages and the need to stay indoors for extended periods of time due to the smoke. The internet was down for a few days, which served as a reminder to keep off-grid communications equipment stored and Faraday-protected. With our Mission Darkness Faraday Bag line, we continue to promote personal security awareness and the benefits to being ready for any situation (including EMP attacks or CME occurrences) by attending trade shows and conferences on the subject.
